The Blessed Saint Mary (Maryam al-Muqaddasa) is a Film from the Islamic Republic of IRAN depicting the life of Saint Mary, the Mother of Jesus, based on classical Islamic texts. The film begins with the birth of Mary and ends with the birth of Jesus, skilfully recreating the major events which Mary went through as well as that of Prophet Zachariah, Mary's guardian and a righteous Prophet of God.

This two hour sensational film is a glorious illustration and depiction of the lofty station held by Mary in Islam, as well as the great stature of Prophet Zacharias(the guardian of Saint Mary).

The Caravan of Pride (Mawkeb-ul Abaa) is a movie which brilliantly depicts the chain of events that unfolded after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.). After the massacre of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions on the plains of Karbala, the remaining members of the Family of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) were taken captive and paraded in a humiliating and inhuman manner from Kufa (Iraq) to Damascus i.e; Shaam (Syria).

The members of the Family of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) were paraded through the most inhuman of conditions and had to face unbearable hardships of the journey in the heat and inhospitable conditions of the blazing desert. Finally they were brought to Yazid ibn Mu`awiyah's Palace in Damascus, Syria.

It was here, in the very fortress of Yazid's unholy empire, that the light of Truth pierced through the dark veils of ignorance which Shaitan had drawn over the eyes of the Muslim masses. Janabe Zainab (s.a.), the daughter of the ever victorious Lion of Allah, Ali Ibne Abu Talib, delivered a unparalleled, pivotal and crucial sermon which awoke the people of Damascus from their deep slumber of heedlessness and shook the foundation of the Umayyad Dynasty, sending it crumbling to the ground.

It was here, that Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (a.s.), in such magnificent words of eloquence, demonstrated to the people of Damascus who exactly it was they were oppressing by telling them the relationship he holds with the Holy Prophet, his great grandfather.

Thus was the revolution of Imam Hussain (a.s.) completed, a revolution against injustice, a revolution against tyranny, a revolution seeking honor over humiliation, truth over falsehood, courage over fright, righteousness over immorality, knowledge over ignorance, a revolution whose shockwaves continue to resonate thousands of years later, an eternal stand against corruption, which proves to be the source of inspiration for humanity at whole.

Movie: The Message

The Message, produced in 1976, documents the life of the last Prophet of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him). To this day, it remains as one of the best to have been made on the life of the Prophet. The movie, to a large extent, recollects a common historical narrative of the life of the Holy Prophet according to the different Muslim sects, with few points of difference. It depicts the early animosity the Meccans held towards the Prophet and the various forms of persecution he, his family and supporters were subjected to during the Meccan period. A highlight of the movie is the scene that recounts the famous dialogue between the Christian King of Abysinnia and the head of the Prophet's envoy, Ja'far son of Abu Talib (a), who travelled along with fellow companions to seek refuge from the injustices of the Meccans by the order of the Prophet (s).

Mokhtarnameh is a dramatic action based on the life of Mokhtar ibne Abu obeid Saqafi . Over 140 actors were cast in it.

He is a Shia Muslim leader who set up a movement in 686 A.D in the town of Kufa to avenge the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

Starring: Fariborz Arabnia, Reza Ruygari, Reza Kianian and Rahman Baqerian, ’Mokhtarnameh’ is the sixth TV series directed by Mirbaqeri. The series, which took five years to complete, includes 42 episodes and is produced by Sima Films.

The story reviews the events leading to the martyrdom of the Imams and ends with the adolescence of Mokhtar. The film also deals with 16 years of Mokhtar’s life and includes the death of Mo’awiyah, the succession of Yazid ibn-Mo’awiyah, and the events leading to Ashura and whatever related to the uprising of Mokhtar until his and his companions’ martyrdom.

Mostufa Zamani Perform the Role of Prophet Yousuf  in the Movie Yousuf Payamber. His name was chosen from among 3000 people who auditioned for the role of Joseph (Yusuf). He was to have a clean and perfect face for that role. Leaving the city where his family resides he was a bit overweight and had to train 3 hours per day to look lean.
